plugged into one of the usb ports on the motherboard and immediately was recognized. It will not show in My Computer until there is actually a card inserted into the reader itself. Did have a little trouble fitting it into my case(Cooler Master Elite 310) had to offset it in the bay just so it was flush with the case faceplate. Works on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Great cheap product.

This device came up with no drivers for me to install. I use this with my sd and memory stick pro memory sticks. It is a pain to get an sd card inserted. You will need a flash light and be sitting at eye level with the slot and several tries later you might be able to get it in. The face plate needed to be removed for sd insertion.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not a well built product, March 9, 2012

On first look this appeared to be exactly what I was looking for in a multi card reader. Once I installed it I realized it had some flaws. First and foremost, why build a device like this that makes you insert the cards upside down into the slots? For me that's OK, but I will need to remind my wife and kids every time they use it or risk damage to cards and the unit. Also, the first time I tried to insert a Micro SD card it slipped completely through the opening and into the unit. I had to disassemble the computer again to retrieve the card and found that only one of two screws were factory installed to hold the internal circuit board to the frame. Fixed this and still the alignment of the board to the front panel cutouts is not good. All in all more trouble than the low price is worth.
